hi
i was wondering if i could install windows vista ultimate on my dell.
i have a 3.00GHz pentium 4 processor with 2.00GB of ram. i am currently running on windows xp media center edition and i really want to upgrade to vista. i just want to know if i could with the specs i have and also if i can could anyone post a link for the drivers for my pc. thanks .
Looks like you can. The concern is always the drivers. I went to Dell support at http://support.dell.com , plugged in your Dimension 5150 and choose Vista 32-bit as the OS and Dell does indeed have Vista drivers. Look at http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/driverslist.aspx?os=WLH&osl=EN&catid=-1&impid=-1&servicetag=&SystemID=DIMENSION+5150%2FE510&hidos=WW1&hidlang=en&TabIndex=
That looks like a pretty complete set. Start with the BIOS upgrade (even before you upgrade to Vista) if you haven’t done that one already.
