Put your Windows Vista disc in the optical drive, shut down the computer, and boot into the disc. Follow the instructions that come up.

  • On my new Windows Vista Home Premium laptop, I went to Windows Update, and most updates installed without any problem, but there were a lot that that failed. I haven't found a way to try installing them again. Is there a way to retry the failed updates?

I just have my computer search for new updates. It finds the ones that did not make it and it installs them at that time.

  • I'm sick of my preinstalled Vista Premium not running programs and I'm wondering if I could dual-boot with a free version of Linux that would allow me to run my programs…

    THanks!

    The Answer by t_dildine2000 :

Lots of Windows programs can be run in Linux using Wine. Check the AppDB to check if the programs you wish to use will work. Also, some of the programs you use might have Linux alternatives.
