The Answer by Sam :

Direct X 10 is automatically installed when you install vista. You can update it through windows update or at the microsoft website after installing the OS though.

  • i have service pack one…and its always asking me for service pack two….but for soem reason i cant' install it…i dont have the right files…..and i was wondering if i just install windows vista would it help at all?

The Answer by Mike M :

I think you might be confusing Vista with Mac OS X Leopard. Vista only makes computers slower, more restrictive to users (just wait until all that content "protection" starts rearing its ugly head a year or two down the road) and just as vulnerable to the endless security crises that only Windows is subject to.

The Answer by David R :

do system recovery back to when it was new then disable auto up date and good luck on having the computer work the way it should without updates
