Was wondering what would be top tweaks for gaming in windows vistato increase the performance of games.

Like maybe shutting down the internet connection before playing an offline game, going through the processes in the task manager and ending the ones you dont need, etc etc…

first try your connection then try ram then if at all switch to quadcore which will signifficantly increase your gaming system

I want to upgrade to Vista Ultimate. At the moment, I have XP Home. Is it possible to upgrade by simply buying the Vista Ultimate upgrade, or is it not possible to upgrade from the Home addition of XP? Thanks.

Yes I think you will have no problem upgrading : )

That is a good question, and on Microsoft’s website there is no clear answer. But you are running Windows XP even though you upgraded from another version of Windows to get there. And according to the Microsoft website as long as you are running XP you can use the Vista upgrade. The one sure way to know is to run the Windows Vista upgrade advisor. But before you do that consider that if you ever have to reinstall your OS for any reason, will have to install the original OS then the XP upgrade and then the Vista upgrade. Just a little something to think about
