Will you be upgrading your Windows version to Vista, or switching to Linux on your current machine? Now that Linux has improved greatly over the last few years, do you believe that you will be upgrading to Windows Vista, or switching over to Linux?
Well… I'm not deciding whether to go to Vista or Linux. I'm dual-booting between both of them ^_^. I just wanted to see what the Yahoo! community would rather do.
Neither. Vista is a resource hog. Linux… I already have a Linux server. Works great, runs Apache, MySQL, and Samba. But I also use a whole bunch of programs that either don't have Linux versions or they have to be bought in addition to Windows versions. To summarize, change is expensive and should be avoided. Rather than spend time and money on OS upgrade, I'd consider upgrading the hardware (more memory or a new hard drive).

I have a Dell notebook and here is it's spefications:
intel corre duo T2500-2.0GHz
FSB 667 MHZ 2MB L2 cach
ram: 1 GB
Hard: 120 GB
graphic card:256 MB
I wanted to know is it possible for me to install a VISTA windows on my note book?
Sounds like that system should handle Vista, provided the graphics card is capable of Direct X 9, which I am sure it is judging by the other specs.
You can check out this link to make sure you met all the hardware requirements.
